-- Vandelin meets Inessa and Garahel. They talk rifts, the Veil and why Van shouldn't stand on rickety chairs.
-- Velanna doesn't take kindly to anyone standing on library books.
-- Prompto takes it upon himself to make sure Vandelin doesn't break his neck. Van makes fun of his height in return, like a dick.
-- Yngvi tells a cautionary tale of spirits.
-- Wren and Vandelin destroy the library. Vandelin takes no responsibility for this fiasco or the head trauma that ensues.
-- Melys is real curious about Van's fancy staff.
-- Samouel offers much-needed medical assistance.
-- Hermione offers practical solutions to Van's book-reaching dilemma. Van thinks this is cute.
-- Kirk, in turn, thinks Van's makeshift stepladder is cute. Van is not amused.

➸ Van accompanies a team into the Deep Roads, where they encounter a Legionnaire of the Dead and a shit-ton of darkspawn. Lives are mutually saved. (L)

➸ Van discovers, to his surprise and guarded joy, that his cousin Myr has joined the Inquisition--and then learns, to his horror, that his own magic was partially responsible for blinding him. (C)

AUGUST

➸ Vandelin follows Kit to Myr's room for ostensible moral support during the healing. Things get tense, then relax. (L)

➸ Van proposes sharing another drink and a card game or two before Kit leaves for the Korcari Wilds. It takes about an hour before they're sharing a bed as well. (I, NSFW)

➸ Atticus decides to poke around Vandelin's dreams to see what he can fuck up. (I)

➸ Myr seeks out his cousin for some reassurance about Kirkwall's old wounds. It goes as badly as a conversation can possibly go. (I)

➸ Kit returns from the Wilds. Vandelin ambushes him. Feelings are hurt. Mistakes were made. (L)

SEPTEMBER

➸ Van and Myr have that lunch they'd planned. (L)

➸ Petra tests Vandelin on his "diplomacy when pissed off" skills, and offers him a job. (C)

➸ Van sucks it up and congratulates Kit on his new promotion. (C)

NOVEMBER

➸ Myr drunk-dials Vandelin in the middle of the night, and they have a long-overdue conversation about the Circle. (I)

➸ Anders suggests that Vandelin reach out to Benedict in the name of mage solidarity. Van does not. (I)

➸ Vandelin meets Colin and compliments his cooking. (L)

➸ Van sincerely thanks Melys for the Satinalia present. (It was eels.) (C)

➸ Myr lets Vandelin lean on him on the way to Nevarra, in the aftermath of his leaving Kit. (L)

➸ Kostos gives Van a literal middle finger in Cumberland. (L)
